Nêgah Santos is a Brazilian-American percussionist, singer, and composer based in New York City.
Known for her expressive rhythmic style and deep connection to Brazilian and Afro-diasporic traditions, her work bridges genres including Jazz, Latin, Pop and contemporary improvisation.
As a performer in both live and studio settings, Nêgah Santos has collaborated with internationally recognized artists and appeared on major stages and broadcasts including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert - performing and co-writing music as part of the house band for 9 years, earning two Academy Awards and a Peabody. Her work explores the intersection of culture, groove, and improvisation.
Beyond performance, Nêgah Santos is also involved in recording, composing, and developing creative projects that helps highlight the Brazilian traditions in New York, cultivating events in the community and bringing the culture to all audiences.
